Welcome! I’m Megan Moores and I’m a novelist, editor, and teacher. I love stories. I love writing them, reading them, and hearing them from other storytellers. I have a soft spot for love stories, and I write romance novels that are steamy and cozy.

I like to write books with juxtapositions. I’m interested in characters who’ve been around the block but haven’t lost their optimism and belief in a happily ever after. I like stories with complexity and edge but also laced with lightness and escapism. I love for my readers to feel moved after reading one of my books, but I also hope they laughed a lot along the way. I like mixing dark and light because to me, that contrast is what makes stories come to life.

When I’m not writing, you’ll find me reading. I read Romance of all kinds (but I love the steamy kind best), and I also love Thrillers, Mysteries, Police Procedurals, Literary Fiction, Nordic Noir, and classics. Like I said, I love stories.

I have degrees in Creative Writing and Teaching from the University of Arkansas. I’ve been an English Teacher, a freelance Editor, and a small business owner. Saving the best for last, I’m the mother to four incredible humans, wife to an amazing man, and caretaker of some of the world’s most adorable cats.
